Manual Therapy Course
Manual Therapy for patients with spinal deformities may be a useful add on considering that some Patients experience pain when correcting.
Pain may sometimes occur during exercises involving significant correction or when adjusting corrective orthoses for patients with spinal deformities. This pain is unrelated to the misalignment itself or to the brace. Functional movement disorders and joint blockages can cause pain during corrective movements.
Manual therapy or chiropractic treatment is therefore a useful addition to the range of treatments available for spinal deformities. We have designed and organized a course specifically for therapists trained in Schroth Best Practice, in which safe manual techniques are taught:
Weiss’s Easy Manual Therapy (MT)
These courses cover the essence of what Dr Weiss has applied during his decades of practice.
- The MT I course lasts one and a half days, teaching small groups how to safely apply manual techniques to the pelvic, lumbar, thoracic and cervical spine areas, as well as the ribs.
- The MT II course repeats the content of the MT I course, with a focus on refining the techniques.
